World Series Close
Concrete surface protection and reinforcing
World Series Close strengthens concrete surfaces against heavy wear and protects against chlorides and aggressive liquids. The protection is diffusion open, long-lasting, and increases resistance to acid. For stain protection, complement with World Series Shine.
World Series Close is a surface protection impregnation for exposed concrete such as industrial floors and parking garages. World Series Close is used as a surface strengthener and dust binder during concrete floor grinding. The result is a very impact and scratch-resistant surface. World Series Close penetrates into capillaries, microcracks, and pores and reacts with the cement. The result stops the transport of water but allows vapor to pass through (diffusion). Due to the protection being deep, it is insensitive to external influences such as abrasion and impact.
One treatment increases the abrasion resistance in new concrete by over 35% and reinforces older weathered concrete and cement-based self-leveling underlayment. If there is rising moisture in the substrate, a pre-treatment with deep impregnation should be performed.
Usage
World Series Close is supplied as a ready-made product and should not be mixed or diluted. Damages and visible cracks should be repaired before treatment. Protect glass, aluminum, and other shiny or painted surfaces to avoid etching.

Product description
Application
World Series Close is delivered as a ready-made product and should not be mixed or diluted. Shake the package before use. The surface to be treated must be free from dust, paint, grease, or any other coating that may impair the substrate’s absorption capacity.
Damages and visible cracks should be repaired before treatment. Protect glass, aluminum, and other shiny or painted surfaces to avoid etching. Pay attention to spray mist that can travel far. If splashes occur, rinse immediately with water.
The temperature during application and for the following 24 hours must be ≥ +5ºC. Avoid applying in direct sunlight. On horizontal concrete surfaces, World Series Close can be poured out and kept in motion with a rubber squeegee, brush, or polishing mop. Avoid the formation of drying spots during treatment. Full saturation is achieved after about 20-30 minutes. Stop when World Series Close starts to ”gel,” which often occurs earlier on new concrete. Remove excess material that may otherwise form shiny or white spots.
Before starting, consider treating a small area, about 10 square meters. If you have a larger area, it may be beneficial for two people to work together. One person can apply and work in World Series Close while the other operates the floor grinder.
- Begin by moistening the concrete surface.
- Pour out World Series Close and sprinkle with grinding dust or cement powder.
- Work in the grinding dust with a brush, rubber squeegee, or polishing mop.
- Once it has started to dry, you can grind it with a grinder. Let it dry slightly to avoid splatters.
- If you do not achieve the expected result the first time, you may need to do another round.
