Most of our dust extractors are H-certified by a third party, confirming high quality and reliability.
There are three different classes of certification regarding the dust that occurs during work. These indicate the thresholds for filtration efficiency that the filter systems must meet for dust-free work.
Dust Class L – moderate risk – The vacuum cleaners filter captures over 99% of the dust with a particle size of less than 2 microns.
Dust Class M – medium-high risk level – The vacuum cleaners filter captures over 99.9% of the dust with a particle size of less than 2 microns.
Dust Class H – high risk level – The vacuum cleaners filter captures over 99.995% of the dust with a particle size of less than 1 micron.
The filtering properties are guaranteed through tests conducted on the entire machine as well as tests conducted on each installed filter. A certification of filter efficiency is issued for each machine in Class H. Scanmaskin tests its industrial vacuum cleaners to ensure they meet the above requirements in international laboratories (IMQ, TUV, SLG). In addition to the initial tests performed on the product, these organizations also conduct periodic tests to guarantee the continuity of performance over time.
How dangerous is the dust?
Many types of dust are very hazardous to health, and construction sites are often very dusty environments. Breathing in these types of dust, even in small doses, can lead to various respiratory diseases. Therefore, it is necessary that the dust is quickly suctioned up, and appropriate precautions are taken for dust-free work. It then becomes important for a healthy work environment to use a high-quality industrial vacuum cleaner for the dust that occurs.
What applies to H-certification?
An H-certified industrial dust extractor is a dust extractor that meets the high requirements for handling hazardous dust, according to the European standard EN 60335-2-69. H-certification means that the vacuum cleaner has a HEPA filter that captures at least 99.995% of the dust particles.
Having a safe bag system that prevents the user from coming into contact with hazardous dust is an additional safety feature for the user. At Scanmaskin, we use the proven Longopac® bag system. As well as a HEPA 14 filter that can remove 99.995% of dust particles as small as 0.18 μm.

How to maintain H-certification?
An H-certification remains valid as long as the industrial dust extractor is not modified or repaired in a way that affects its function or safety. However, it is important to regularly check and maintain the industrial dust extractor, such as replacing filters and bags, to ensure it is functioning properly. It is also important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to use and store the industrial dust extractor correctly.
The H-certification refers to the dust extractor’s filtering efficiency and its ability to handle hazardous dust, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety. However, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the dust extractor is used correctly and that all applicable regulations for workplace safety and waste management are followed.
